LRGBJ - ZHD Series
LRGBJ - ZHD Series Current Transformers
40.5 to 252 kV
5 to 5000 A (8000 A on specific configurations)
Dealing with very high current involves a slightly different approach. The LRGBJ-ZHD Current Transformer's design has been further developed to process routine currents as high as 5000 A. On specific configurations this design can accommodate 8000 A
The ZHD series is actually a "2-CT-in-one" design. The top of the device is accepting the high current line, providing a transformation ratio of K1. The bottom of the product is a high voltage CT with a transformation ratio of K2 using the secondary current generated through K1. The final ratio of this Current Transformer is then K=K1*K2
This unique design allows a remarkable flexibility in dealing with very high current.

Protective class current transformers comply with IEC-44-6:”Requirements for Protective Current Transformers for Transient Performance”
Maintenance
No maintenance is needed on our Current Transformers
Option: A simple monitoring feature of tanδ is proposed as an option for yearly monitoring of equipment.
Reminder: for electrical safety reasons, secondary circuits should not be opened during operation of any Current Transformer.
